Public transport is really great in Greece. You can get anywhere by bus. KTEL is the company for interurban buses.

How to get to Patras

• At the Athen Intl. Airport take the bus X93. You can find it at Exit 5. Bus ticket: 3.20 euro. Trip takes about 1 hour.
• Get off at the KTEL bus station, which is the terminal stop of X93.
• Buy a ticket to Athen, and get on the bus. Bus ticket: 16.20 euro. Buses depart every 30 minutes until around 22h.
• The terminal stop is the KTEL bus station in the center of Patras. Trip from Athen to Patras takes 2.5 hours with an express bus (otherwise it's a bit more than 3 hours).

Taxi

Taxis are very cheap in Greece. A 15-minute long trip is around 5 euro.

How to go to Acropolis

• At the KTEL bus station in Athen, take the bus 051. Bus ticket: 0.50 euro.
• Get off in the center and head to the Omonia metro station (ask where to get off exactly).
• Acropolis is the 3rd stop from Omonia on the red metro line. Metro ticket: 0.80 euro.

What to see

The Acropolis is a must see. Just next to Acropolis there is a very nice touristic area called Plaka.
