Cannot hibernate, not enough free swap
ProblemIn my machine I have 3 GB RAM but unfortunately I didn't pay attention when I created the partitions and I only gave 1 GB to the swap partition. Now I keep getting an error message when I try to hibernate. SolutionClearly, the swap space should be ≥ than the RAM. A good solution is to multiply the amount of RAM by 1.5. To extend the swap space, I chose to create a swap file. Here is a step-by-step description how to do that: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?&p=489196&postcount=3 .
