Enabling nvidia
ProblemI managed to install the proprietary Nvidia driver but my X didn't want to use it. Just for the record: to install this driver, go to Applications → Ubuntu Software Center, search for the keyword nvidia and install the package NVidia binary X.Org driver. Choose the latest package. SolutionIt turned out that my xorg.conf was old and it didn't use the nvidia driver. To generate a new xorg.conf file, execute the following command: sudo nvidia-xconfig Restart X and you are done. |
