There is a more general solution for this problem, the Perl Audio Converter. From their home page:

Installation:

sudo apt-get install pacpl

Basic usage #1:

pacpl  in.rm  --to mp3  -v

pacpl  -r  dir_to_process_recursively/  --to mp3  -v
