DrPython

DrPython is a very nice and simple IDE for Python.

Problem

I installed DrPython at the university and it worked fine. I went home, tried to launch it but it didn't start. It didn't even drop an error message and I didn't even get back the prompt, so it somehow got stuck.

Solution

Trying to trace it with strace I noticed that it reads the /etc/cups/client.conf file where a printer server is specified. However, this server is not available from my home. Putting that line in comment in client.conf solved the problem. DrPython runs fine :)
