konsole in full screen

Problem

I had this problem in Ubuntu 8.10 after an update. Konsole started to appear automatically in full screen mode :( I tried to tweak its config. file (.kde/share/config/konsolerc) by adding the line Fullscreen=false, but it didn't help.

Solution

Switch off the visual effects completely. Go to System → Preferences → Appearance, go to tab Visual Effects, and choose None. This is a bug which should be solved in a future release.
