top - display Linux tasks

M - order by %MEM
P - order by %CPU

The column RES corresponds to %MEM. This may be the most important information since this indicates how much memory is actually occupied by the process.

free - display amount of free and used memory in the system

pmap - report memory map of a process

ps -ux

RSS is like RES in top, i.e. resident size. This value corresponds to %MEM.
