Question

How to execute a command automatically / regularly?

Answer

Use crontab. Its config file: /etc/crontab .

Structure:
<minute> <hour> <day of month> <month> <day of week> <user> <command>

Example:
0 22 * * * root .../security.sh

Meaning: every day at 22h, execute a security script as root.
