Which Nim version is used?

I started to collect these notes in March 2026.

$ nim -V
Nim Compiler Version 2.2.8 [Linux: amd64]

My desktop machine is a Linux box, running Manjaro Linux.

However, Nim is cross-platform, so all the codes should work similarly on other platforms too (Windows, MacOS).

Update

  • In April, 2026 I use Nim 2.2.10
  • In 2018, I started with version 0.18.0 . Surprisingly, my old codes still work with the current compilers. Nim has an excellent backward compatibility.
